Meet the Author: Alicia Cooper

The decision to homeschool my daughters started due to some chronic medical issues my older daughter went through in her toddler years. I began homeschooling her in January of 2008 and planned to do it only for pre-school initially. After a year of that, I decided to continue with Kindergarten. It was such a natural fit for our family that we have been doing it ever since. I have used many types of curriculum options over the years, but have found that what works best for us is mixing and matching each year to suit the interests and abilities of each of the kids.

In June of 2009, just two months after the birth of my second daughter, I decided to start a home business so I could raise both of my girls while attending school and taking care of my financial obligations. My online shop has since shipped to every state in the U.S. as well as 8 countries outside of the U.S.

Currently, most of my efforts are being put into growing my career as a clinical psychotherapist. I began working for a local community mental health clinic in rural Moab, UT in September 2016.

My passion for traveling began when I was taken on a trip around the world at 13 years old. Internationally, I have traveled to New Zealand, Singapore, Germany, Greece, Italy, Egypt, Kenya, and England. This list will continue to grow as travel is one of my biggest passions. I love to explore new places, people, food, and cultures.
