After being on the plane yesterday for over 26 hours, it felt so nice to sleep in a bed last night, although solid sleep is still hard to come by. This hotel is set up resort-style with spa services three different restaurants, a bar, an infinity pool and a gift shop. It’s absolutely gorgeous with the wood and metal décor and feels very safari-like. Ole Sereni is the only hotel in the world that directly borders a national game park, so when we wake up in the mornings we get to look out our window and see wild animals out there. This morning we saw some Cape buffalo and grands gazelle. Pretty cool! Breakfast and lunch are set up buffet style with SO MUCH FOOD. Pictured is the desert table alone. There are make-your-own omelets, a handful of different kinds of plain bread, a handful of different kinds of pastries like croissants and donuts, an entire table of fresh fruit, lots of breakfast cereal, fresh-squeezed juice (passion juice has been the favorite), about a dozen different entree and side-dishes, sliced meat and cheese and a salad buffet. Presentation is wonderful here. Everything looks like art! The girls said they LOVE the food in Africa and would stay here forever just for that. Haha.

I have limited wifi access throughout the trip, but I will continue to give updates as I have availability. Tomorrow we head out to Ol Pejeta Conservancy, so I’m off to bed so I can get enough rest for the 4-hour drive. Goodnight!
